SUICIDE SQUAD Officially Gets its PG-13 Rating
Warner Bros. previously confirmed that Suicide Squad, along with every other upcoming DC film, is targeting a PG-13 rating. This came after speculation amongst fans on whether this would be an R-rated installment. Now, MPAA has confirmed (via Box Office Mojo) the PG-13 rating, along with the reason for it.
Suicide Squad has been rated PG-13 for “sequences of violence and action throughout, disturbing behavior, suggestive content and language.” So, pretty much exactly what we expected. Plenty of violence was to be expected, while the presence of characters such as Harley Quinn and Enchantress up the ante in “suggestive content.”

The third installment in the DC Extended Universe stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Viola Davis, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Adam Beach, Jay Hernandez and Karen Fukahara. David Ayer writes and directs.
