ARROW’s John Barrowman Upgraded to Series Regular for All The CW’s DC Shows

Malcolm Merlyn, played by John Barrowman, served as the big bad of Arrow‘s first season and appeared in a couple of episodes in season two. Then, in seasons three and four, the character was a series regular. He also popped up on The Flash during last season’s two-part crossover. Now, we’ll be seeing plenty of Merlyn in the Arrowverse next season.

According to TV Line, Barrowman will maintain series regular status not only on Arrow, but also on all of The CW’s DC shows. These include The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. (Maybe Supergirl as well?) 

This deal is on par with the one Wentworth Miller signed earlier this year, allowing his Captain Cold to recur throughout these shows. At the time, Greg Berlanti expressed interest in creating similar contracts for other characters. Well, it’s now Merlyn’s turn.
