DC Announces its Animated Film Slate for 2017
Batman: The Killing Joke was present at Comic-Con, along with DC’s animation team. The panel featured producer Bruce Timm, Kevin Conroy (Batman), and Tara Strong (Batgirl). They talked about how Mark Hamill’s Joker is the same as we remember, only scarier. While the cast and crew talked about The Killing Joke, the wasn’t the biggest news of the night.
Warner Bros. has confirmed DC’s next three animated films: Justice League Dark, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract and Batman & Harley Quinn [a Bruce Timm original film].
Fans have long awaited to see the Justice League Dark team in live action, but animated is just as exciting. It’s also going to be very interesting to see how Batman & Harley Quinn turns out. I can’t wait to see happens to this unique duo.
One of the most famous Titans stories of all-time is The Judas Contract. It was loosely adapted in Young Justice, as well as the original Teen Titans animated series. How will this story play out in the new DC Animated Universe? We’ll just have to wait and see. Stay tuned for more news as it comes.
