NBC’s POWERLESS Loses its Creator/Showrunner

DC Entertainment’s next television show, Powerless, will air on NBC during midseason next year. The workplace comedy centers on an insurance company and its, well, powerless workers in the middle of the DC Universe. The show stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk and Ron Funches.

However, the series is going to need a new showrunner. It has been announced (via Deadline) that creator, executive producer and showrunner Ben Queen has dropped out of Powerless. The exit is a result of “creative differences” between Queen and Warner Bros. TV.

Production was expected to begin in two weeks, but the start date has been pushed back, as a new showrunner is being sought. However, the delay won’t affect the show’s premiere, as NBC has yet to finalize its midseason schedule.
