SUPERGIRL Casts Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Lex’s Sister

A couple months ago, a Supergirl casting breakdown revealed some new characters for the show’s second season. One of these characters is Lena Luthor, aka the sister of Lex. Now, Lena has officially been cast.

According to TV Line, Merlin alum Katie McGrath will play Lena Luthor on Supergirl. In the show, Lena has become the new CEO at Luthor Corp, following her brother’s imprisonment. She wants to give the company a fresh start after Lex’s villainy damaged it, bringing her to National City. Ultimately, Lena’s goal is “…to re-brand the empire as a force for good. Lena wants to be seen as her own person, separate from her brother. Kara is drawn into Lena’s sphere and must determine if she is friend or foe.”

Lena Luthor is a recurring role for this season. It is unknown which episode will mark her first appearance. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
