New JUSTICE LEAGUE Still Released; Ezra Miller Talks Flash’s Role in the Team

We’re now less than a year away from the release of DC Films’ Justice League, which is now in post-production. While we wait for the release of a new trailer and the rest of the marketing campaign, we have a new morsel to go over.

Today, Entertainment Weekly has released a new still image from the movie, along with new character details. The beautiful image features Flash, Batman and Wonder Woman standing side-by-side.

EW’s article also teases the clash of personalities in Justice League. The film will explore how the heroes adjust their personalities to fight evil as a single unit of, well, justice. This is particularly present in Flash, whom EW describes as “…the league’s overly excitable kid brother who uses humor to mask his pain.”

Flash actor Ezra Miller compares his character to Ringo Starr, and regarding his interactions with the rest of the League, he says, “He annoys everybody, but he doesn’t have any specific beef with anyone.” As for Flash’s take on his teammates, Miller says both Aquaman and Batman are “grumpy,” and while Wonder Woman is also annoyed with him, she is still “very compassionate.”

It was previously stated that Flash will offer plenty of comic relief in Justice League, something seen in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer. This contributes to the film’s lighter, more family-friendly tone. But it appears that it will also lead to some unintentional conflict with other League members.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
