WONDER WOMAN LEGO Set Offers Look at the Movie’s Villain

Among the toy companies creating products for DC Films’ Wonder Woman is The LEGO Group, which has a long line of DC Superheroes sets. Today, the company (via Entertainment Weekly) unveiled the first LEGO set based on the upcoming movie. and  it features a glimpse of a character who we haven’t seen in the trailers…not yet, anyways.

Some people may consider this set’s contents to be a SPOILER, so keep reading at your own risk.

So, this LEGO set features none other than Ares. While the villain has been absent from the movie’s marketing (again, so far), his presence has already been confirmed by the recent set visits. The 286-piece LEGO set is titled “Wonder Woman Warrior Battle,” and it features Diana Prince and Steve Trevor taking on the God of War. It will hit stores on May 1st, and hopefully, it’ll be the first of several Wonder Woman sets.

Wonder Woman is scheduled to hit theaters June 2nd. The fourth installment in the DC Extended Universe stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Lisa Loven Kongsli and Connie Nielsen. Patty Jenkins directs and co-wrote the script with Geoff Johns and Allan Heinberg.
