Danai Gurira to Reprise BLACK PANTHER Role in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
Needless to say, Avengers: Infinity War (and its 2019 sequel) will feature a lot of previously established characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Everyone from the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy to Doctor Strange and Spider-Man will unite to save the world from Thanos.
Recently, Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman joined the film’s set to shoot his scenes. Now, another character from that movie is joining.
According to Deadline, actress Danai Gurira will appear in Infinity War. She plays Okoye, the head of the Dora Milaje, an all-female elite force in Wakanda who serve as T’Challa’s bodyguards. She makes her debut as the character in Black Panther, which hits theaters on February 16th. It’s unclear if Gurira is in only Infinity War or if she’s in the (currently untitled) other movie too.
Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
