Could a 'Secret Wars' Game Be Coming?

Bleeding Cool has gotten notice that Marvel Comics has just registered a trademark for “Secret Wars”.

Secret Wars was a limited series in the ’80’s titled Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars, which revolved around a Mattel toyline. It featured Marvel’s biggest heroes and villains squaring off on an alien planet created by other planets. Secret Wars was revived recently as a new comic book event that found a planet created by surviving realities, and heroes and villains from parallel universes battling one another.

This registered trademark would be for something video game related, which could be anything from a complete Secret Wars game for consoles, to a game for mobile devices, to DLC for another Marvel game, or even something as small as a featured level in another Marvel game.

What exactly Marvel has up their sleeves is unknown, but we could be getting some exciting news involving some kind Secret Wars game/expansion/level in the future. Personally, I think it’d be awesome if we got a Secret Wars game that was in the same vein of DC’s Injustice series. How about you? What are you hoping for?
