THE FLASH Casts Katee Sackhoff in Recurring Villain Role

We’re only a few weeks away from the premiere of The Flash‘s fourth season on The CW. Today, we have some major casting news for a new recurring villain, while we also have confirmation of a major Arrow character returning.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Battlestar Galactica alum Katee Sackhoff has joined The Flash as DC villain Amunet Black, aka Blacksmith. The character is described as “a steely and badass boss of an underground black market for supervillains. Amunet uses every means possible, including the long list of metahumans under her thumb, to ensure her illicit enterprise thrives.”

Blacksmith will be a recurring character this season, and she makes her first appearance in episode 4×05, titled “Girls Night Out.” The episode will also feature Arrow character Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), who has also been a frequent guest star on The Flash. (In case anyone had any doubt about Felicity surviving the Arrow finale…)
