Marvel Studios May Be Reviving POWER PACK Movie
Back in 2005, Marvel Studios unveiled its original slate of independent films, bringing multiple comic book characters to the big screen. Most of these characters have gone on to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether it’s on the big screen or television. But one property that has yet to be tackled is Power Pack, a team of four siblings who are given powers by a dying alien.
Now, it looks like the property may be coming after all. According to That Hashtag Show, Marvel Studios has “revisited” the idea of making a Power Pack movie. Jonathan Schwartz, who has been involved with Marvel Studios since 2009, has been given creative oversight on the film. Apparently, the plan is to make a Spy Kids-esque story.
Power Pack would certainly make sense for Marvel’s future slate. The studio is expanding its cosmic properties, with James Gunn overseeing them and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 expected to set up the next decade or two of Marvel stories. It also makes sense to appeal even more to the kid demographic. And it’s a property Marvel has considered making before, so why not?
