This Recurring Marvel Netflix Character Will Return in THE PUNISHER
Netflix is in the process of promoting its next Marvel original series, The Punisher, even though we still don’t have that premiere date. The show was featured in the latest issue of SFX Magazine, and some scans have come online. Among them is a new still that features a recurring character from the Marvel Netflix shows.
The following image (via Comic Book Movie) features Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) threatening none other than Turk Barrett, played by Rob Morgan. Turk debuted on Daredevil, before moving to Harlem in Luke Cage. He also appeared in an episode of The Defenders.
Turk made it out OK from Daredevil and Cage, as they aren’t into killing their enemies. But Castle shows no hesitation in putting down criminals, so could this be the end of Marvel TV’s best character? Or will he live on another day and go back to Hell’s Kitchen, where it’s safe?
Beyond appearances from Turk and Karen Page, don’t expect The Punisher to be too connected to the other shows. Bernthal tells Entertainment Weekly that there won’t be that many connections to the rest of the Defenders saga. “We are stripping down every supernatural element. This show is different. It looks different. Frank is a character rooted in the most basic human emotions…”
Stay tuned for more as we have it. The Punisher will premiere sometime this year on Netflix.
