
CAPTAIN MARVEL Adds Gemma Chan as Kree Geneticist Minn-Erva
Captain Marvel recently began filming, but the next Marvel blockbuster is still in the process of filling out its cast. Today, we have some more news.
According to Deadline, Humans star Gemma Chan has been cast as Marvel Comics character Minn-Erva (also called Doctor Minerva), a Kree geneticist and spy. The casting further establishes the presence of the Kree race in the film, which also has the Skrulls involved. Chan’s other credits include Transformers: The Last Knight and Crazy Rich Asians.
Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers in Marvel’s first female-led movie. The cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, and DeWanda Wise. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are directing.
Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 3rd, 2019.
