No, Ray Fisher Isn’t Planning to Leave Cyborg Role
Every now and then, a big superhero “rumor” pops up and takes the Internet by storm, even if it doesn’t have an actual source. This latest rumor has claimed that Ray Fisher is planning to leave the role of Cyborg in DC Films’ universe. This comes from fan speculation based on Justice League‘s drastic overhaul of Cyborg’s story, lack of news on the character’s future, and a new version of Victor Stone heading to DC Universe. But alas, the rumor has been debunked.
Ray Fisher took to Twitter to confirm that he is still committed to playing Cyborg, and he has no plans to exit the role anytime soon. He adds that when he does eventually retire from the character, he will let fans know himself.
I don’t usually engage the rumor-mill, but it’s recent turn may be worth a little grist: I am NOT, nor do I have ANY intention of, leaving Cyborg. Furthermore, if/when the time comes for me to hangup my all-too-revealing mocap onesie, you will hear it from me directly. #BORGLIFE— Ray Fisher (@rehsifyar) August 10, 2018
