Title Of DC’s Aquaman-Centric Animated Movie Confirmed
Following the post-credits scene of Justice League: War, a follow-up featuring Atlantis has been planned. It was previously reported that this film will, obviously, focus on Aquaman, and that Sam Witwer will voice his villainous brother, Orm. Naturally, it has been widely speculated that this latest film from DC’s animated line will be an adaptation of the “Throne of Atlantis” arc in the New 52. Now, it looks to be just that.
Thanks to World’s Finest Online, we have the back cover of this August’s Batman: Assault on Arkham. It includes a list of bonus features, and among these is a sneak peek at the next DC film: Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. This and other animated films are expected to be announced formally at San Diego Comic-Con next month. A release date for Justice League: Throne of Atlantis has yet to be set, but an early 2015 debut is likely. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
