Colm Feore Cast as the Dollmaker in GOTHAM

Gotham has found
its Dollmaker.  The character that was
teased way back in episode two will soon make his debut in episode seventeen
and according to Deadline, he will be played by Colm Feore.

Colm Feore has a seriously impressive resume; he played
“Marcus Andronicus” opposite Anthony Hopkins in the 1999 film Titus and reunited with him as
Laufey in Thor.  He played the husband of the President in
season seven of 24.  More recently he played Cardinal Giuliano
della Rovere on the Showtime drama The
Borgias
and had a role in last summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. (imdb)

As we reported in December, the Dollmaker is described as: Dr. Dulmacher” is described as a
“mad European scientist.”  The
Character has had several different incarnations in comics over the years.  Most recently, he has appeared in the New 52
as the surgeon that Joker convinced to cut his face off in the Detective Comic #1 written and drawn by
Tony Daniel.  In the “Death in the
Family” arc he and Joker created a living tapestry of people sewn together
and fed through tubes. Last he was a member of the Secret Society during
“Forever Evil.”

Dollmaker appeared
on Arrow as a serial killer that
poured melted plastic down women’s throats to create his dolls.  It will be interesting to see what Gotham does with the character, and with
Colm Feore in the role, they have someone to make it memorable.
