Former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter to Play U.S. President on SUPERGIRL Season 2

We’ve had plenty of DC Television casting news this week, and now it’s Supergirl‘s turn. The show’s second season, now on The CW, will have a very impressive addition to the cast.

It has been announced (via The Hollywood Reporter), Lynda Carter will play the President of the United States on Supergirl. Of course, Carter is best known for playing Wonder Woman in the 1970’s television series. She will first appear in episode three of Supergirl season two, and she will recur throughout the season.

Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg previously expressed interest in casting Carter as Supergirl‘s president in the first season. However, scheduling conflicts kept it from happening…until season two, of course.

Carter marks the second recent big addition to Supergirl‘s second season, following the news that Tyler Hoechlin will play Superman. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.

Supergirl will return Monday, October 10th at 8 PM EST.
