Box Office Updates for SUICIDE SQUAD, Weekend #6

Suicide Squad is now in its sixth weekend of release. So far, the DC film has had solid legs at the box office, surpassing $300 million domestically last week. This weekend, Warner Bros.’ Sully and other new releases came in, while Don’t Breathe is still doing well. How has Squad performed this weekend?

According to Box Office MojoSuicide Squad went down to #4 this weekend with an estimated $5.7 million gross. This brings its domestic intake to an impressive $307.4 million. Overseas, the supervillain ensemble has grossed $392 million, bringing its worldwide total to $699.4 million. It will probably pass the $700 million mark tomorrow. Again, these are very impressive numbers. Hopefully, we’ll hear something official about Suicide Squad 2 soon.

Suicide Squad is currently the second highest grossing installment of the DC Extended Universe, both domestically and worldwide. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice maintains the top spot with $330.4 million domestically and $872.7 million worldwide. Meanwhile, Man of Steel grossed $291 million domestically and $668 million worldwide back in 2013.
