Peter Gadiot Cast as Mr. Mxyzptlk on SUPERGIRL

Last month, it was announced that Superman villain Mr. Mxyzptlk will appear in two episodes of Supergirl later this season. Now, we know which actor will be portraying the character.

After being spotted on set, Heroic Hollywood has confirmed that Once Upon a Time in Wonderland alum Peter Gadiot will play Mr. Mxyzptlk. While unconfirmed, it sounds like the character is popping up in episode 2×13.

Mxyzptlk is one of the campier and more bizarre members of Superman’s rogues gallery. In the comics, the magical trickster enjoys tormenting the Man of Steel, but if he speaks his name backwards, he is sent back to his home, the fifth dimension.

Supergirl marks Mxyzptlk’s fourth live action portrayal. The character was previously seen on Superboy, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and Smallville.
