Video Game News Bits: INJUSTICE 2 gets a release date; BATMAN coming to the Nintendo Switch?

It’s time to mark your calenders, we now have an official release date for the long anticipated Injustice 2. NetherRealms Studios’ Creative Director Ed Boon took to Twitter to announce the release date. Injustice 2 is set for a May 16th releae date. We still don’t know much about the Gods Among Us sequel. We know that we’ll have new characters (such as Deadshot, Supergirl, Gorilla Grodd etc), but we don’t know anything about the main campaign. Will Superman return and get his revenge? Will new characters arise and take control? We can’t wait to find out.

In other news, we have another rumor regarding the next Batman game. This rumor comes from a guy named Geno via Google Documents. He has leaked a number of Nintendo news – including the Nintendo Switch (an entire year in advance). In his latest post he leaked a ton of news on the Switch. Leaking upcoming games, advertisement deals and even a new Super Mario animated series. There are two things we’re going to talk about. The first thing is that Injustice 2 will be released on the Switch, giving gamers the ability to take the game on the go. The next part is about the rumored Batman game. According to Geno, Batman: Arkham Apocalypse will be one of the games released on the Nintendo Switch in 2018. Geno didn’t go into detail about the game (he was mainly talking about the  Nintendo Switch line up), but he seemingly just leaked the title for the game. From all of the information we’ve gathered, Batman: Arkham Apocalypse will star Damian Wayne, and will be set 10 years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight. This game still hasn’t be officially announced by Warner Bros. so take all of these rumors with a grain of salt.

Geno also stated that WB Montreal’s now canceled Suicide Game has been replaced with Ready Player One, a game based on the upcoming Steven Spielberg film of the same name.  For more news on Injustice 2 and everything in DC Entertainment, stay tuned.
