ARROW Shifting to Thursday Nights Next Season

For its five-year run, Arrow has consistently stayed in the Wednesdays at 8 PM EST slot on The CW’s schedule. Now, with the show returning for a sixth season next fall, that’s about to change. The CW has released its 2017-2018 schedule, and Arrow is aiming for a new timeslot.

Arrow will now air on Thursdays at 9 PM EST, following Supernatural. Its Wednesdays at 8 slot will be taken over by Greg Berlanti’s other (non-DC) comic book show Riverdale.

Meanwhile, the other three Arrowverse shows will retain their current timeslots. Supergirl will continue airing on Mondays at 8, while The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow will keep their Tuesday slots of 8 and 9 PM, respectively.

And, finally, Berlanti’s latest DC venture, Black Lightning, will premiere during midseason, alongside returning series iZombie. Timeslots for those two shows have yet to be announced.
