BLACK PANTHER Retains Box Office Throne for Fourth Weekend in a Row

Another day, another Black Panther box office update. On the heels of crossing $1 billion worldwide, the Marvel Studios blockbuster is still the king in North America.

Per Box Office Mojo, Black Panther easily retained the top spot with an estimated $41.1 million. This marks the first time a Marvel movie has been #1 for four weeks in a row, while it’s the first movie to ever do so since Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This brings its domestic total to a whopping $562 million.

Overseas, Black Panther took in another $100 million, fueled by a big $66.5 million opening in China. This brings its international total to $516.6 million, and its global total is now $1.078 billion. It is currently the 21st highest grossing film of all time worldwide, and at the rate it’s going, don’t be surprised to see it end up much higher on the list.
