Warner Bros. Announces 2019 Release Date for WONDER WOMAN Sequel
After the huge success of DC Films’ Wonder Woman, a sequel was inevitable. Sure enough, Warner Bros. confirmed during its panel at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend that Wonder Woman 2 is in development. Now, we have a release date.
Warner Bros. has scheduled Wonder Woman 2 for release on December 13th, 2019, just in time for Christmas. Gal Gadot will reprise her role as the titular hero, while Patty Jenkins (who’s already writing a story treatment with Geoff Johns) is in talks to return as director.
Wonder Woman 2 isn’t the only DC movie scheduled for 2019. WB has already planted dates for three untitled movies that year: April 5th, June 14th, and November 1st. With Shazam beginning production early next year, that will likely be the April film. The Batman and Suicide Squad 2 will likely be out in 2019 as well.
