DC’s TITANS Casts Anna Diop as Starfire

Casting is well underway on Titans, the live action series that will launch DC’s streaming service next year. Earlier this month, it was announced that newcomer Teagan Croft landed the role of Raven. And now, we know who’s playing Starfire.

According to Deadline, 24: Legacy actress Anna Diop has been cast in the series regular role of Koriand’r, aka Starfire. The character is described as “…an alien princess from a warrior planet who seeks asylum on Earth. A no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners stranger on our world, she has the ability to shoot energy bolts and fly. Searching for her place on Earth, she’ll come into contact with the Titans.”

Production is expected to begin later this fall, with more characters (like Dick Grayson and Beast Boy) still to be cast. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
