AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D Bringing Back This Fan-Favorite Character in Season 5
Production is now underway on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s fifth season, which will premiere later this year after the end of Inhumans‘ run. Not a lot of plot details are known, other than following up on last season’s cliffhanger that saw Coulson in space. Now, we have word that one of the show’s fan-favorite characters will return this season.
According to Entertainment Weekly, actor Nick Blood is reprising his role as Lance Hunter on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season five. Hunter was an agent in the second and third seasons of the show, alongside ex-wife Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki). The two were disavowed in season three, which was expected to launch their own spinoff series, Most Wanted. However, ABC passed on the pilot, and we’ve never heard from them again…until now.
It’s unknown exactly why Hunter is back, or how long he’ll be around. There’s also no mention of Bobbi coming back, but with Palicki’s commitment to a new show this season, that’s understandable.
We’ll learn a lot more about this season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at next month’s New York Comic-Con panel. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
