Greg Berlanti Offers Update on His BOOSTER GOLD Movie

Following his work on multiple DC television shows, Greg Berlanti set his sights on the big screen with a Booster Gold movie, written by Zack Stentz. We haven’t heard much since about the film, which was based on a scrapped SyFy pilot, while Berlanti said it was separate from DC Films’ other projects. Now, he has a new update.

In an interview with The Wrap, Berlanti confirms that Booster Gold is still in development, but the studio is just figuring out how to execute it, as well as how it’ll fit into the rest of DC’s movie slate. He says that the script is pretty much done, and now it’s just a matter of waiting to see what Warner Bros. wants to do next.

“If the studio is excited – it’s obviously their determination,” says Berlanti. “We finished all the work we need to do on the draft, I would love to do something in that space. I’m still a little clueless on how movies come together. I show up to work every day and make the work as good as I can but then they call me and say, ‘We’re making it!'”

With the multiple DC movies in various stage of development, it’s unclear if Booster Gold would still be a priority for WB. But, we’ll have to wait and see. Stay tuned.
