New Line Cinema is collaborating with DC Films on multiple projects, such as Shazam!, Black Adam, and several Vertigo titles. Their latest rumored project would adapt a lesser known comic for the big screen.
According to That Hashtag Show, New Line is developing a film adaptation of DC’s comic book The Highwaymen. The studio is currently approaching writers for the project. The film is based on the 2007 limited series, which stars two retired couriers who return to their business of transporting dangerous cargo. The problem? Everyone’s trying to kill them over it.
With about two dozen DC movies in various stages of development, it’s unclear how far along The Highwaymen is going to get. We’ll just have to wait and see. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
