DC SUPER PETS Animated Movie Gets a 2021 Release Date
Warner Bros. made a few big changes to its release schedule tonight, setting dates for The Batman and The Suicide Squad. But in the midst of that, the studio also confirmed a date for DC’s next animated theatrical title.
DC Super Pets is set to arrive on May 21st, 2021. The animated movie will see the union of several pets from DC lore. Traditionally, the team has everyone from Ace the Bat-Hound the Krypto the Super-Dog. Jared Stern and Sam Levine are directing.
This marks WB’s latest venture into bringing animated DC titles to theaters. The LEGO Batman Movie hit two years ago, while a Batman Beyond film is reportedly in development. And surely after the success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, studios should be in a rush to put out more animated superhero movies in theaters.
Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
