Kevin Feige Debunks BLACK WIDOW R-Rating Rumor

Black Widow will not be rated “R”.

Marvel producer, Kevin Feige

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Kevin Feige was asked about the Black Widow film being R-rated. He replied: “It was never going to be. Somebody writes, ‘I hear it’s (Black Widow) R-rated! and then everybody writes it up.”

Now, fans can officially expect Black Widow to be consistent with her appearances in past MCU films. Avoiding excessive harsh language, bloody action scenes, and such content that would restrict who could watch it.

Marvel Studios has not officially announced any movies after Avengers: Endgame or Spider-Man: Far From HomeWe have other films that are expected from Marvel Studios (although not announced). Such as Black Widow, The Eternals, (Possibly) Nova, a third Guardians of the Galaxy film, and a sequel for both Black Panther and Doctor Strange.

Black Widow is on schedule for a 2020 release; directed by Cate Shortland, and written by Jac Schaeffer. In the meantime, fans can look forward to seeing Scarlett Johanson’s Black Widow in Avengers: Endgame.
