THE PUNISHER and JESSICA JONES Cancelled, as the Marvel/Netflix Affair Finally Ends
Netflix played the role of grim reaper last year, suddenly ending most of its Marvel television slate. Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil all got the axe, while The Defenders was never meant to continue beyond one season. And now, Netflix has confirmed the future (or lack thereof) of its final two shows. It has been announced that The Punisher and Jessica Jones have both been cancelled. JESSICA JONES Showrunner Leaves The Series
Jessica Jones has lost its showrunner. Melissa Rosenberg will be leaving the series after Warner Bros. offered her an eight figure deal. Under her multi-year deal Rosenberg will help create new television series for WB. The third season of Jessica Jones will be her last. All of my attention remains with the extraordinary cast, writers and production team of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, until the completion of season three, Rosenberg said.
