Video Games: Release Date For BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT Announced; Special Editions Unveiled
Originally slated for a Fall 2014 release, Batman: Arkham Knight was later moved to an unspecified date in 2015. Rocksteady cited the need for more time to perfect the highly anticipated video game when the studio announced this delay. This is completely understandable, given the amount of hype that has been built up since 2011’s acclaimed Batman: Arkham City. Well, now, we have a specific release date for the conclusion to Rocksteady’s trilogy.
It has been confirmed that Batman: Arkham Knight is set to be released on June 2nd, 2015. The game will be available on Microsoft Windows, as well as next-gen consoles Playstation 4 and Xbox One. This installment marks Rocksteady’s final array into the world of Batman and serves as a conclusion to what began with 2009’s Arkham Asylum.
Additionally, Rocksteady has revealed two new special editions for Arkham Knight. Both include a steelbook case, an 80 page art book, a comic book and a skin pack consisting of New 52 costumes. However, each one has its own collectible statue. One includes a 12-inch Batman statue, while the other has a “fully transformable” Batmobile.
