DC Announces Animated Movie Slate for 2016, Including BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Adaptation
Categories UncategorizedFollowing the world premiere of Justice League: Gods and Monsters at Comic-Con last night, DC and Bruce Timm announced which three animated movies would be released in 2016. Most significantly, we have an adaptation of Batman: The Killing Joke, easily one of the most acclaimed Batman/Joker stories. No word on its cast or director yet. However, iconic Joker voice actor Mark Hamill previously said that he would come out of retirement as the character to reprise the role for a Killing Joke movie. And now that it’s happening, will he return?
We also have two other animated movies slated for 2016. First up, we have Batman: Bad Blood, which will feature Batwoman. Presumably, this is a follow-up to Batman vs. Robin. And finally, we have Justice League vs Titans, presumably a sequel to Throne of Atlantis.
There are no further details on these movies just yet, but stay tuned for more as we have it.
