The CW Confirms Plans for Epic Four-Show DC Crossover Next Fall
Last week, it was confirmed that The CW has picked up Supergirl for its second season, making it the fourth DC Comics show on the network. It joins Arrow, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Supergirl previously interacted with The Flash in a crossover episode, and with all four shows on the same network, it’s only inevitable that they would do a big crossover event.
Now, it’s happening. At Upfronts 2016 today (via Entertainment Weekly), The CW president Mark Pedowitz confirmed that all four of the network’s DC shows will crossover in December. “Next season, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and now Supergirl will join forces in our annual crossover event, our biggest ever.”
This will mark the third annual crossover event for the Arrowverse. In 2014, Arrow and The Flash united for a two-episode event, where they fought Captain Boomerang and with each other. Last year, the two-night event introduced Hawkgirl, Hawkman and Vandal Savage, setting the stage for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Now, it looks like we’re getting a four-night event next season. Crazy.
