We’ll be meeting Jessica Jones again in The Defenders later this week, but season two of her series is finally coming out in early 2018. Few plot details are known, but the season will see the return of most of the show’s original cast, along with newcomers Leah Gibson and J.R. Ramirez. And now, it’s been confirmed that one of the first season’s biggest characters is returning…somehow.
[SPOILER WARNING for Season 1 of Jessica Jones, in case you haven’t caught up for some reason.]
Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that David Tennant is reprising his role as Kilgrave in Jessica Jones season two. Kilgrave was the main villain of season one, and with his ability to control minds, he tormented Jessica until she snapped his neck in the finale.
So, how is Kilgrave returning? It’s always possible to bring him back in a flashback scene or hallucination or something. A full-on resurrection isn’t impossible, but how and why would that happen? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
