Over the span of five years, The CW’s Arrowverse (consisting of Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on Earth-1, plus Supergirl on Earth-38) has introduced countless iconic villains from DC Comics lore. After several years in development, Fox’s latest X-Men spinoff, New Mutants, is coming. The film will begin production in July for an April 13th, 2018 release. Josh Boone is directing from a script he co-wrote with Knate Lee, while Maisie Williams and Anya Taylor-Joy are set to star as Wolfsbane and Magik, respectively. Now, more new details are revealed. Supergirl recently wrapped up its second season on The CW, with Lucifer airing its season two finale on Monday. Meanwhile, Gotham won’t finish its season three run until June 5th. For those who want to catch up on these shows or just rewatch them, all three seasons are hitting home video later this summer. Batman and Harley Quinn is the next animated movie from DC Entertainment. With Poison Ivy planning to turn every living creature into plants, Batman turns to her closest friend to get more info. This turns into a crazy road trip with Batman, Nightwing, and Harley [because things are never easy]. Check out the trailer down below! Batman and Harley Quinn looks like it will be a fun time. The Sony Marvel Universe is moving forward with another film. The Hollywood Reporter broke news this morning that Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Secret Life of Bees) will direct Silver and Black, Sony’s Spider-Man “spin-off”.  The film will focus on Black Cat, a cat burglar who [in the comics] has had an ongoing romance with our favorite Web Slinger. Starring along side Black Cat is Silver Sable, a Spider-Man villain from 1985. Silver Sable is a mercenary who runs a company that hunts war criminals. Last night, The CW aired the season five finale of Arrow, and boy was it a doozy. The episode – which was set entirely on Lian Yu – saw the return of many fan-favorite characters, from Deathstroke to Talia al Ghul to Black Siren. Oliver Queen’s conflict with Adrian Chase finally came to an end with an insane cliffhanger, leaving you waiting at the edge of your seat for season six. We’re a little over a month from the release of Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, and the marketing campaign is in full swing…literally. Today, the studio dropped a third (and presumably final) trailer for the superhero reboot.
