THE FLASH Casts WWE’s Adam Copeland as Atom-Smasher for Season Two Premiere
In an episode of The Flash last season, you may remember that the name “Al Rothstein” was one of those who seemingly died during the particle accelerator explosion. Rothstein is the alter ego of Atom-Smasher, depicted as a hero in the comics. Now, the Atom-Smasher will be making his way onto The Flash next season, but he won’t exactly be an ally to Barry Allen (at least initially). ComicBook.com has confirmed that former WWE superstar Adam “Edge” Copeland will play Atom-Smasher in the season two premiere of The Flash. The character will be a villain to Team Flash, rather than a hero. The CW’s description reads, “One of the most powerful enemies…

Michael Cera Set to Voice Robin in THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE
One of the several animated LEGO spin-offs in the works at Warner Bros. will star Batman, voiced by Will Arnett. This parody of the iconic superhero was possibly the most memorable character in The LEGO Movie. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that he’s getting his own film. Unsurprisingly, one of the characters who will be joining Batman is none other than Robin, his familiar sidekick. According to The Hollywood Reporter, none other than Michael Cera will voice Robin in The LEGO Batman Movie. It is unknown if this is Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, or another version of Robin. The LEGO Batman Movie is being directed by Chris McKay, from a…

Ezra Miller Comments on Playing THE FLASH and Praises the TV Series
Ezra Miller’s casting as The Flash in the DC Extended Universe last fall was a polarizing announcement among comic book fans. Some praised the decision and Miller’s acting abilities, while others said he was not a good fit looks-wise. However, the actor is very passionate about landing this iconic role, something he expresses in a new interview. Speaking with MTV (transcription via ComicBook.com), Miller discusses what drew him to the Barry Allen character. “Barry Allen is the Silver Age, who follows a lot of interesting discoveries in physics. Where he comes from is, we figured out the event horizon was there, and then he was the character who was created through…

ARROW Producers Open to Matt Ryan's Constantine Appearing
As it stands right now, the tale of Constantine was a short and sad one. The series was not able to find its footing fast enough for NBC to renew the series and the producers were unable to find a new home. However, this does not mean that the tale of John Constantine is over. While speaking to IGN during Comic-Con, executive producer Wendy Mericle expressed interest in bringing Ryan’s Constantine into the fold. “It’s something we’ve been talking to DC about and it’s just a question of some political things, but also the actor’s schedule. We’re trying to work it out, but we don’t know 100 percent if it’s…

BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT – BATGIRL: A MATTER of FAMILY Review
Batgirl: A Matter of Family is the first downloadable story add-on for Batman: Arkham Knight. Set before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batgirl: A Matter of Family is the first appearance of Barbara Gordon’s Batgirl in the Arkham universe (the Arkhamverse.) The story start’s out with The Joker and Harley Quinn kidnapping Commissioner Gordon as a twisted Valentine’s Day present for Batman. The Joker will kill Gordon if the Batman shows up so it’s left up to Barbara to save her father. The plot is simple and boring, while the amusement mile makes for a decent setting, it often feels empty and futile. Gameplay wise, Batgirl feels like they just copied and pasted Batman’s controls on to Batgirl’s character model. Batgirl doesn’t feel like a new…

New Details on DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: Tone, Series Length, ARROW Tie-Ins and More
io9 recently spoke with the cast and crew of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The CW’s latest DC Comics series that unites characters from The Flash and Arrow. When asked if the midseason show will be an “anthology” series or could consist of multiple seasons, producer Marc Guggenheim says, “First of all, how long the show runs is not up to me. It’s up to the fans. “Anthology” is probably the wrong word, only insofar that it implies that it’s like American Horror Story. That’s an anthology. The way we think of it is that each arc, each season, is its own separate movie. What we want to do in success…
