Fox Delays DARK PHOENIX Again, Sets DEADPOOL 2 PG-13 Cut for This Christmas
Despite releasing the long-awaited teaser trailer (touting its Valentines Day 2019 date) less than two days ago, 20th Century Fox has once again delayed the next X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix. The film will now hit theaters on June 7th, 2019. This puts it right in the heart of the summer, which – based on the competition – may not be the wisest bet. But, Fox is hoping that the move will lead to the film being a bigger hit in China. No exact reason was given for the delay beyond that, but the movie has been undergoing reshoots, which are said to be extensive. So, this gives them extra time…

GAMBIT Gets a 2019 Release Date
Fox is looking to strike gold once again! After Deadpool smashed box office records last year, the studio is hoping Gambit will have the same kind of success. The film is scheduled to release on February 14th, 2019. With a director in place and Tatum ready to star things should start ramping up fairly soon. GAMBIT Lands a Director (Again)
It looks like Gambit will live to fight another day. The film has been in development hell and has struggled to keep anyone not named Channing Tatum attached to the project. Well, Deadline is reporting that Gore Verbinski (A Cure for Wellness) will direct the film, and Tatum is still signed on to star. Previously, the film had Doug Liman (American Made) and Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) attached to direct, but both eventually dropped out.
