AQUAMAN 2 Release Date: December 2022
We recently got news the screenwriter for Aquaman is returning for a sequel. There was no official green-lighting of the sequel, so no release-date had been set at the time. But fear not, the Aquaman 2 release date is set. Courtesy of Deadline, Aquaman 2 will be released December 16, 2022. Currently, none of the original’s cast is set to return, and neither is James Wan. With how successful Aquaman was, hopefully the cast all sees the sequel worth it and return. Joaquin Phoenix’s JOKER Gets a 2019 Release Date
Things are moving very quickly on Warner Bros.’ Joker origin movie, starring Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Todd Phillips. Now, we have confirmation on both a title and release date. Per THR, the film – simply titled Joker – is set to hit theaters on October 4th, 2019. The movie begins production in September, so this will be a fast turnaround for a comic book film. Then again, the budget is only $55 million, meaning that it can use less post-production time than movies with 3-4 times that budget. Mystery Marvel Film Moves Up to February 2021
Disney previously set three release dates for unknown Marvel Studios movies in the year 2021. One one of the given dates was July 30th. Well, whatever movie that is, it now looks like we’ll be seeing it sooner. As part of its latest schedule shakeup (via Box Office Mojo), the untitled Marvel movie is now scheduled for release on February 12th, 2021. We don’t really know anything more beyond that. But considering how successful Black Panther was in the February slot this year, I would bet money on this date being the inevitable sequel. Sony Officially Removes SILVER & BLACK From Release Schedule
Sony previously set Marvel spinoff Silver & Black for a February 8th, 2019 release, with the plan to shoot early this year. However, production was suddenly delayed, with director Gina Prince-Bythewood recently saying that they’re still focused on on the script. So, this threw the release date into question. Sure enough, Sony has changed up the schedule. Sony confirmed today that Silver & Black will not meet its February 2019 date, and the film is currently undated.
