With all of these movies plus any other movies outside the DCEU, Affleck decides to star in or direct has made people skeptical that Affleck has time to direct a Batman solo movie. In a recent interview with Total Film (via Latino-Review), Ben Affleck shed some light on him directing the Batman movie/movies.
“If I could make it work, yeah, Obviously that would be like a dream. The trick is, as to any movie, is to make sure that you – if you’re going to direct it – that you can make it good. You’ve got to have the right idea and the right take on it… Broadly speaking, it’s something I’d be open to, for sure. It’s a very exciting idea.”
Meanwhile, producer Charles Roven expresses hope that a new Batman film, directed by Affleck, will come together. It all depends on scheduling.
