As we all know, Ben Affleck is one of the biggest stars, if not the biggest star, of the DCEU. Being the star means making room in your schedule for two Justice League movies, Wonder Woman (Rumored), and any other DCEU properties he may appear in besides the Batman solo movies.
With all of these movies plus any other movies outside the DCEU, Affleck decides to star in or direct has made people skeptical that Affleck has time to direct a Batman solo movie. In a recent interview with Total Film (via Latino-Review), Ben Affleck shed some light on him directing the Batman movie/movies.
“If I could make it work, yeah, Obviously that would be like a dream. The trick is, as to any movie, is to make sure that you – if you’re going to direct it – that you can make it good. You’ve got to have the right idea and the right take on it… Broadly speaking, it’s something I’d be open to, for sure. It’s a very exciting idea.”
Meanwhile, producer Charles Roven expresses hope that a new Batman film, directed by Affleck, will come together. It all depends on scheduling.
