STAR WARS EPISODE IX Cast Announced; Leia Will Return Using Unreleased Footage
Filming on Star Wars Episode IX is set to begin on Wednesday, August 1st. Today, Lucasfilm confirmed the full cast for the film, which has been called the final installment of the Skywalker saga. Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), and Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix) reprise their roles from the last two films. Production is about to begin on Lucasfilm’s next Star Wars movie, Episode IX. J.J. Abrams returns to direct, with actors like Daisy Ridley and John Boyega reprising their roles from past films.
