Review: SUPERMAN (1978)
Arguably the first true cinematic comic book adaptation, Superman is a film which mostly holds up almost four decades after its original release. Of course, one cannot forget to at least touch upon Christopher Reeve’s performance as the titular character when discussing the film. Reeve simply embodies both sides of his character so perfectly, from the sheer heroism of Superman to the awkward timidness of Kent, and it is easy to see why his performance is fondly remembered to this day. Henry Cavill Shares His Thoughts On Ben Affleck Playing Batman In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN
Speaking with Total Film, Man of Steel star Henry Cavill discusses Ben Affleck’s casting as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the follow-up, Batman vs. Superman. As expected, Cavill offers nothing but praise for his future co-star, saying that he will be “fantastic” and, as a filmmaker, Affleck has his own style. The Superman actor also acknowledges that roles like this require a strength of character, as well as dedication, both of which Affleck has.
