During its San Diego Comic-Con panel tonight, Marvel dropped the first teaser for its next Netflix collaboration, Iron Fist season two. A lot of new footage was shown, but this was all that was released online. The trailer features Danny Rand beating down street criminals, and it already looks like a big improvement on the first season. Check it out below.
During the SDCC panel, the cast and crew behind the new season share some new details. Most significantly, Alice Eve’s mysterious character was confirmed. She is playing Mary Walker, aka Typhoid Mary. In the comics, Typhoid Mary is an assassin who has worked for the likes of Wilson Fisk and The Hand. She is one of Daredevil’s most prominent villains. Putting her on Iron Fist is an interesting move, but it’s unconfirmed if she will only appear here or could pop up in other shows later.
And finally, Netflix released a plot synopsis for the season. It teases Danny’s new mission, which is inspired by Daredevil’s “death” in The Defenders. Check it below, and stay tuned for more. Iron Fist season two premieres on September 7th.
Iron Fist Season 2 features Danny Rand (Finn Jones) as he fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
