Sony Sets 2019 Release Date for SILVER AND BLACK
Sony is moving forward with its slate of Spider-Man-based films, which (as of right now anyways) aren’t actually connected to Spider-Man and aren’t in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following next fall’s Venom, Sony will release Silver and Black, which teams up Silver Sable with Black Cat. Now, we have a release date. Sony has announced that Silver and Black will hit theaters on February 8th, 2019. This makes it the first comic book movie of that year; Fox previously set an untitled Marvel movie for the week after on February 15th. Production will begin sometime this fall. Riz Ahmed in Talks to Join VENOM Movie
After many years in development hell, Sony is finally moving forward with its Venom movie, starring one of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains. Tom Hardy is set to play Eddie Brock, while Ruben Fleischer is directing. Now, as the film gets ready for its fall production, we have some casting news. Variety and The Hollywood Reporter have learned that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story alum Riz Ahmed is in talks to join the cast of Venom. It’s unknown who exactly he would play. First Official Look at Domino in New DEADPOOL 2 Promo Image
Among the exciting new additions to the Deadpool sequel is Domino, played by Zazie Beetz. The highly anticipated follow-up has been shooting for the past month or so. And today, we have a first look at the film’s take on the fan-favorite character. After five films based solely at Sony, Spider-Man has come home. The studio has partnered with Marvel to integrate the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU Spidey’s first movie, subtitled Homecoming, is now playing in theaters. The film has received mostly positive reviews from critics, while fans and audiences love it too. CAPTAIN MARVEL To Be Set In The 90's, Skrulls Confirmed!
During Marvel’s Comic-Con panel, they made a huge announcement! We now know more details on Marvel’s female lead film, Captain Marvel. We learned that the film will take place in the early 90’s, and will be the first Marvel film set in the past since Captain America: The First Avenger. Which is kind of fitting, wouldn’t you say? The second bit of news was that Samuel Jackson will return as Nick Fury. This wasn’t necessarily new, but with the film taking place in the 90’s, Fury will not be sporting his iconic eyepatch. During Warner Brothers’ Comic-Con panel, DC took the stage and teased their upcoming film schedule. We got confirmation that Wonder Woman 2, Suicide Squad 2, The Batman, Green Lantern Corps, Shazam!, and Batgirl will be the next line up of DC films. Marvel released the fourth gameplay trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite at the Marvel Games panel yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con.
