The CW Officially Orders THE FLASH And iZOMBIE To Series
The CW has announced its new series pick-ups for the 2014-2015 season, and they include a couple of unsurprising choices. The Flash, a spin-off of Arrow, will bring the Scarlet Speedster back to the small screen, this time played by Grant Gustin. The network has also ordered Rob Thomas’ DC/Vertigo adaptation iZombie to series. The two DC shows join Arrow, which has been renewed for a third season. In addition to those three, Fox will premiere Gotham this fall, meaning that we will see four live action DC shows airing on television this year. Five, if NBC picks up Constantine. With Son of Batman on home video today, we now have a sneak preview of DC’s next animated movie, Batman: Assault on Arkham. The following video includes interviews with director Jay Oliva, James Tucker, and voice director Andrea Romano, as well as behind-the-scenes footage of the actors’ voice recordings. It also shows off new footage and storyboards from the film, and delves into the plot, the Suicide Squad’s role, and more. Assault on Arkham is set two years before 2009’s Arkham Asylum video game, placing it in between the first title and the recently released prequel Arkham Origins on the Arkham timeline. Extended Trailer For GOTHAM Now Online
Hot off of a series pickup, Fox has unveiled the full trailer for its upcoming Batman prequel, Gotham, showing off first footage of the highly anticipated show. The story follows Det. Jim Gordon as he seeks to restore the city of Gotham, and meets young Bruce Wayne following his parents’ game-changing deaths. As expected, Gotham looks to be an edgy take on the iconic mythology, and the trailer puts some focus on its pre-Batman villains. These include Catwoman, Riddler, Penguin, and the newly revealed Poison Ivy. Stay tuned for more news as we have it. Gotham premieres on Fox next fall.

GOTHAM Officially Ordered To Series By Fox [UPDATE: First Trailer To Premiere Tonight]
It has been expected since the pilot order, but now it’s official. Fox has officially ordered the Batman prequel Gotham to series, giving it a slot on the network’s 2014-2015 schedule. The show, which stars Ben McKenzie as Det. James Gordon, is described as “an origin story of the great DC Comics super-villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told.” The pilot, written by Bruno Heller and directed by Danny Cannon, is expected to premiere this fall. Recently, a rumor spread across the internet claiming that Matt Damon was wanted to play Aquaman in Warner Bros.’ Justice League movie. We recently saw the first trailer for DC’s next animated movie, Batman: Assault on Arkham, which is set in the universe of the acclaimed Arkham video game series. And now, Warner Bros. has released the Blu-Ray cover, featuring the Dark Knight as well as the Suicide Squad. Assault on Arkham follows the supervillain team – consisting of Deadshot and Harley Quinn, among others – as they attempt to defeat the Joker, who has planted a bomb in Arkham Asylum.
