CAPTAIN MARVEL Casts DeWanda Wise in Supporting Role
Pre-production is well underway on Captain Marvel, which is the next Marvel Studios blockbuster to shoot. Brie Larson stars as the titular hero, with the supporting cast consisting of Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, and Ben Mendelsohn. Now, we have more casting news. According to Deadline, She’s Gotta Have It alum DeWanda Wise has landed a supporting role in Captain Marvel. Her character is unknown, but it is being speculated that she could be Monica Rambeau, who was the second Captain Marvel in the comics. First Trailer for TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES is Coming Soon
A few months ago, it was confirmed that Warner Bros. is bringing the Teen Titans Go! animated series to the big screen. Titled Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, the film will feature the cast from the series, as well as Will Arnett and Kristen Bell. We’re more than a week away from the premiere of Black Lightning, The CW’s latest DC show. Marvel Announces BLACK PANTHER: THE ALBUM Produced by Kendrick Lamar
We’re only a month away from the release of Black Panther, and Marvel Studios is doing a big marketing push. One of the things promoting the film is a new album.Marvel has announced that Kendrick Lamar and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith will curate and produce Black Panther: The Album, containing original music from and inspired by the movie. The two will collaborate with director Ryan Coogler on creating the music and putting it in the film. Warner Bros. Appoints New President for DC Films
Last month, it was reported that Warner Bros. is undergoing another shakeup of its DC Films division, following Justice League‘s poor box office performance. Jon Berg would move on to another area in the studio, while Geoff Johns may have a smaller role going forward. Now, we have a new president. It has been announced New Line production executive Walter Hamada is moving to Warner Bros. to oversee DC Films and other comic book movies.
