It was revealed at Comic-Con last month that CBS’ Supergirl series will feature fan-favorite Superman villain Livewire. And now, that role has been cast. According to Variety, True Blood actress Brit Morgan is set to play Leslie Willis, aka Livewire. She will guest star in an unspecified episode this season. In Supergirl, Willis is described as “a confident, abrasive and funny shock-jock who works for CatCo Media, the conglomerate owned by Cat Grant. When an accident makes her as dangerous and shocking as her words, Supergirl must stop her.” This will mark Livewire’s second live action appearance, following a role on Smallville. Yesterday, it was announced that Matt Ryan’s John Constantine will officially return for an episode of Arrow this season, following his NBC series’ cancellation. The crossover will take place in episode five of the show’s fourth season, titled “Haunted.” Following this announcement, TV Insider spoke with executive producer Marc Guggenheim on this decision, and how it ties into the episode’s storyline. One of the biggest questions that came from the announcement of CBS picking up Supergirl for their fall season has been: “Wait, it’s not going to be on CW?”  It’s a valid question, the series is produced by Flash and Arrow’s Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, and CW has found a lot of success with those series.  CW President Mark Pedowitz spoke to the Television Critics Association today about why they passed on Supergirl. Today, The CW has released a new promotional image from season two of The Flash. It recreates the classic “Flash of Two Worlds” comic book cover, which features Flashes Barry Allen and Jay Garrick. The comic book served as the introduction of Earth-Two, and subsequently the Multiverse, to DC Comics. This new image also features Barry Allen, donning his new Flash suit, and we also have our first official look at Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick. Many fans were disappointed by NBC’s decision to cancel Constantine. Since then, there have been many suggestions on where to take the series next if it were to be continued. One Suicide Squad actor whose character has yet to be confirmed is Ike Barinholtz. The Mindy Project star was previously rumored for the role of Hugo Strange, but we don’t even know for sure if that character is in the film. Actor Parker Young will play a new potential love interest for Thea, while Rutina Wesley has booked a multi-episode arc as…somebody. Now, Entertainment Weekly has revealed the introduction of another new character this season. According to EW, iZombie and Supernatural actress Elysia Rotaru as a new love interest for Oliver Queen. But before Olicity fans freak out, Rotaru’s character – who is currently unnamed – will recur throughout the flashback sequences. A few days ago, we reported that Thea would have a new love named Alex interest this season on Arrow.  Today it’s been announced Parker Young of Enlisted has been cast in the role.  Meanwhile, the Wrap has reported that Hannibal and True Blood alum, Rutina Wesley will join the cast as well.
