These Shows Will Be Present at New York Comic-Con 2018
Warner Bros. TV and Marvel Television have announced their lineups for this year’s New York Comic-Con, and a lot of fan-favorite shows will be present. Marvel will be showcasing The Runaways season two at Madison Square Garden, while a new episode from The Gifted will be shown at the Javits Center. Most significantly, we’ll be getting a first look at Daredevil season three in its own panel, which will also be at Madison Square Garden. A lot of television shows held their San Diego Comic-Con panels yesterday, and there, first-look trailers for the new seasons were introduced. Here, we have a round-up of all the trailers – all five DC shows on The CW, plus Fox’s X-Men drama The Gifted. Kara deals with the rise of Agent Liberty (and gets a new suit?!) on Supergirl. DC Universe’s Titans is finally wrapping production soon, but before that, we have a breakdown for one more character, courtesy of That Hashtag Show. According to the site, the show is looking to cast a character with codenamed David, a 20-something male with dark hair. David is described as a powerful and merciless individual, and he is kept as a prisoner in a mysterious lab. David would have a guest starring role in the show’s 13th episode (aka season finale), but has the option to be a series regular for future seasons. THE GIFTED Shifts to Tuesday Nights Next Fall; GOTHAM’s Final Season Held Until Midseason
Fox has unveiled its schedule for the 2018-2019 season, just in time for its Upfronts presentation. X-Men-inspired drama The Gifted will air on Tuesdays at 8 PM EST for its second season. The show previously aired on Mondays at 8. The series was renewed earlier this year in the midst of its well-received first season. Last night, Fox renewed DC’s Gotham for a fifth and final season. Now, the network confirms that the series won’t return until midseason, aka next year. It was previously reported that the season will run for 13 episodes, which is smaller than the usual 22. Marvel TV Bringing THE DEFENDERS, INHUMANS and More to San Diego Comic-Con 2017
Studios are now in the process of finalizing and announcing their plans at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Today, it’s Marvel Television’s turn. Marvel’s TV division is bringing a fully party to the convention, as ABC’s Inhumans, Netflix’s The Defenders, and X-Men-based shows Legion and The Gifted will make their presence known.
