Right after news about Robert De Niro being in negotiations to join Joker, The Wrap reports that Frances Conroy (who you might recognize from Sleepless in Seattle and American Horror Story) is in talks to play the mom of the title role that Joaquin Phoenix is playing. The Joker movie would not be the first time Miss Conroy would visit the world of DC Comics. She has lent her voices to projects like All-Star Superman and Superman Unbound. Things are moving very quickly on Warner Bros.’ Joker origin movie, starring Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Todd Phillips. Now, we have confirmation on both a title and release date.
