Warner Bros. Unveils JUSTICE LEAGUE VR Experience
Earlier this year, Warner Bros. announced plans to create virtual reality experiences based on the next two DC films, Justice League and Aquaman. Now, the VR experience for the former has been revealed. WB will release multiple stages from the Justice League VR experience throughout the year. Here, you can become your favorite DC superhero – unless your favorite happens to be Superman. New York Comic-Con will feature a booth dedicated to the experience, while IMAX VR will exclusively hold a two-week presentation. And finally, the complete experience is out in December. ARROW Casts Slade Wilson’s Son for Season 6
Arrow‘s fifth season finale saw the formal return of Manu Bennett’s Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, who assisted Oliver Queen and his team to defeat Prometheus. The finale saw Oliver giving Slade information on his son Joe, including his present whereabouts. This set in motion a Deathstroke arc for next season. Now, Joe has been cast. According to Entertainment Weekly, Lucifer alum Liam Hall has landed the role of Joe Wilson. Like his father, Joe enlisted in A.S.I.S., the Australian secret military agency. TITANS Casts Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly as Hawk and Dove
Casting is well underway for Titans, a new original series that launches DC’s untitled streaming service. So far, the show has cast Dick Grayson, Starfire, and Raven. Now, we have two more heroes to add to the mix. According to Deadline, Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly have been cast as romantic couple and crimefighting duo Hawk and Dove. The two will be recurring characters on Titans, with an option to be upgraded to series regulars if the show is renewed for a second season. Marvel Movies Will Move from Netflix to Disney's Streaming Service in 2019
In recent years, Disney announced a deal with Netflix to add its movies to the streaming service shortly after leaving theaters. However, that deal will end in 2019, when Disney pulls its library from Netflix and launches its own streaming service. Fans have wondered if the Marvel Studios films are included under this. Following David Ayer’s exit, Warner Bros. began the search for a new director to tackle the Suicide Squad sequel. Mel Gibson topped the shortlist earlier this year, while Jaume Collet-Serra was the frontrunner for a while. Well, now, it looks like the search has come to an end. Marvel TV Bringing Four Shows to New York Comic-Con 2017
We’re one month away from this year’s New York Comic-Con, and companies are now announcing their plans for the convention. Among them is Marvel Television, who’s presenting a whopping four shows. First up, Hulu’s Runaways will hold its panel on Friday, October 6th from 7:45-9:15 PM. Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb and executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage join the show’s cast on Main Stage 1-D. The panel will consist of exclusive footage from the original series, which premieres on November 21st. Next, both ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Netflix’s The Punisher will have their panels on Saturday, October 7th in the Madison Square Garden. New PUNISHER Image Revisits Frank Castle's Past
Netflix recently started hyping up its next Marvel original series, The Punisher. A short teaser trailer was attached to The Defenders, while we recently learned the episode order and titles. Now, we have a new still image, courtesy of Empire Online. In the following still, we see Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle from his military past, serving as a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
