Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming entered its second weekend of release, riding off of strong reception from critics and audiences. This weekend, the film faced off with new release War for the Planet of the Apes. While Spider-Man relinquished the top spot to Apes, the movie still did pretty well. Per THR, Spider-Man: Homecoming grossed an estimated $45.2 million this weekend. That’s 61% down from its opening weekend. After years and multiple movies’ worth of teasing, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are finally going up against Thanos in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War. While Thanos himself is going to be a very formidable opponent, he won’t be alone. At D23 yesterday, Marvel Studios unveiled a first look at the Black Order, aka Thanos’ children. Marvel Animation held its panel at D23 Expo last night, offering some new insight into upcoming episodes of the company’s shows.
