In addition to Venom, Sony is developing a Marvel-based film titled Silver and Black, which will team up Spider-Man supporting characters Silver Sable and Black Cat. The studio released Wonder Woman this summer and has Justice League coming this fall, along with Aquaman for Christmas 2018. Warner Bros. May Announce WONDER WOMAN Sequel at SDCC
Considering how huge a hit Wonder Woman has been, Warner Bros. would be crazy not to pursue a sequel. Sure enough, Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns are already writing a story treatment for Diana Prince’s next solo adventure. SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Falls to Second Place in Weekend #2, Swings Past $400 Million Worldwide
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming entered its second weekend of release, riding off of strong reception from critics and audiences. This weekend, the film faced off with new release War for the Planet of the Apes. While Spider-Man relinquished the top spot to Apes, the movie still did pretty well. Per THR, Spider-Man: Homecoming grossed an estimated $45.2 million this weekend. That’s 61% down from its opening weekend. According to Forbes, that’s the same as Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and it’s the biggest second-weekend drop for any Marvel Cinematic Universe film. First Look at the Children of Thanos in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
After years and multiple movies’ worth of teasing, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are finally going up against Thanos in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War. While Thanos himself is going to be a very formidable opponent, he won’t be alone. At D23 yesterday, Marvel Studios unveiled a first look at the Black Order, aka Thanos’ children. Marvel's New SPIDER-MAN Animated Series Gets a Premiere Date and Voice Cast
Marvel Animation held its panel at D23 Expo last night, offering some new insight into upcoming episodes of the company’s shows. They also announced the voice cast for Marvel’s Spider-Man, along with when we can expect it to premiere. Marvel’s Spider-Man will premiere on Saturday, August 19th at 7 AM EST on Disney XD, and it will later be added to the Disney XD mobile app and VOD. This is a one-hour premiere. Netflix Releases SDCC Posters for Marvel's THE DEFENDERS and THE PUNISHER
Marvel and Netflix’s The Defenders will be among the shows present at San Diego Comic-Con next week. Today, Entertainment Weekly premiered a new poster for the series, along with the first poster for the next Marvel/Netflix show, The Punisher. Drawn by Marvel TV Creative Director Joshua James Shaw, the colorful Defenders poster features Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist standing side-by-side. Meanwhile, like past Netflix shows, Marvel’s Joe Quesada drew the Punisher poster, featuring a bloody Frank Castle. SDCC attendees can get their copies of both posters; for details on how, click HERE. The Defenders releases on August 18th on Netflix. The Punisher premieres sometime this year.

First Look: Dinah Drake Suits Up as ARROW’s Latest Black Canary
After the death of Laurel Lance in season four, fans have wondered what Arrow would do next with the Black Canary mantle. Oliver Queen and team eventually found a replacement in Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy). While Dinah wore a domino mask last season, she never donned an actual costume…until now. Entertainment Weekly has unveiled a first look at Dinah Drake suited up as the new Black Canary. The costume makes its debut in the season six premiere, which takes place five months after the season five finale.
